"It was once told to me, what started out as a small group of goofy, creepy death rockers going to Disneyland, has grown into its own institution and is just crazy and amazing. At the first official Bats Day, there was only about 80 people. At the second Bats Day, there was just over 200 people. The best thing is that everyone who goes to Bats Day can just leave all their cares and worries at the gate, and just have a fun time. May Bats Day in the Fun Park be around every year."

All of these events, exceipt for the spooky Disneyland trip, are held at the official Bats Day™ hotel, which provides a special Bats Day™ rate, for everyone staying in the hotel.

Amazingly, what started off as a small outing of about 80 people, back in 1999, has grown into what is being called the premiere event on the West Coast, if not the world, for the Gothic and Industrial subculture of all ages. Not only do people from California attend this event, they come from all over the country and world. We have people coming from many states like Florida, New York, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Illinois, as well as many people coming from various countries outside of the US, New Zealand, England, Brazil, Paris, Germany, and Mexico to name a few. This event is quite family friendly as well. Parents in this subculture are able to further bond with their children at this event.

Many other aspects of this dark subculture that attend this event include, Horror Punk, Horror Rock, Halloween, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Black Metal, Hearse Societies, Indusrial and EBM.
