"I remember it
like it was yesterday. The gang at the Long Beach Deathrock
club, Release the Bats, asked me if I want to bring the
patrons that attended my goth/industrial club called Absynthe,
to go with them to a day at Disneyland. Of course I said
yes, since we did cross promotions with each other.
I came up with meeting times & spots with a group photo
for each spot, as well as a scavenger hunt for the day and
fine tuned the name. All of this with only 90 people at
the very first year back in 1999, I thought it was really
cool.
It is just amazing that Bats Day
in the Fun Park has turned into a huge weekend event that
has people coming from all over the world, to partake in
all this fun. In 2005 there was over 1800 people that came
to the Spooky Disneyland Trip alone.
I want to thank Release the Bats
for putting this spark into me.
Spooky, Kookie, Creepy. Those are
3 words that have followed Noah K his whole life. A native
to California, growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Noah
K has been Djaying and running events since the late 80's.
Noah's loves cartoons, old horror movies, weird stock footage
film, Bats, Oingo Boingo, Day of the Dead art, gargoyles
and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion.
When Noah isn't busy with all the
craziness in his life, he can be found doing graphic arts
for a living. Graphic arts, is something that he got into
after retiring from special effects and make up, that he
did for 13 years. He can also be found creeping around his
annual haunted cemetery, Grimmstone Cemetery, which its
turn 20 in 2006.
Noah Korda is available for weddings,
parties, wakes, bowling and bar mitzvahs. ;p

The Angelus
Having already been a 4-year veteran of the old Los Angeles underground
nightclub scene during the days of Zombie Zoo, Lectisturnium,
Ground Zero and others, the Angelus got his first club job working
for Mike Hell. Kontrol Faktory was still enjoying its mid-life
in Long Beach at the time, and was ready for its leap into legend.
Neither rain nor riot could keep
this messenger from his appointed rounds. You could find him in
every venue, regardless of genre, passing the good word about
Kontrol Faktory. After KF closed its doors for good, the Angelus
moved on to other projects, both for himself and others. Kontrol
Faktory, DDT, CPU, DOOM, Corrosion, Submission, the Nocturne Lounge,
ELITE, and now Das Bunker, and his own slice of something different,
Ground Control. He is honored to have a place among the kind souls
organizing the Bats Day Meet'n'Greet.

"Recently transplanted into Seattle, but originally a Los
Angeles native is long time Bats Day friend and supporter, DJ
seraphim. During his eight years of spinning music in Los Angeles
he's been resident at clubs such as Absynthe, Code, Defkon and
most recently Maschine where he blended styles and genres to packed
floors."

Noah's Mom - Venida
|
I’m your Mother! In case you’ve
forgotten!
Venida teaches special education to unsuspecting
pre kindergarten students in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
In a past life, she was director of Photo
Outreach. The Photo Outreach project introduced photography to
children living in homeless shelters. The project was funded through
the City of
Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.
Her crowning achievement is her children,
Erin, Sarah, and oh yeah, Noah.
She lives in Van Nuys, Cal. occasionally
dating Noah’s Father.

I am a vocalist, lyricist, song writer, live performer, producer,
writer, dancer, artist, model, photographer, poet, philosopher,
Goddess, Witch and Passionate Lover of Life and Light. I am the
Loving and Proud Mother of 8yr old Sky Shelton Dover and I am
the Wife, Lover and Best Friend to My Most Adored; My Love.. ~Seraphim.
I love to be involved and a part of as many artistic and fun events
and projekts as my human self can contribute to! I am very honored
to be a welcomed part of the Bats Day family!!
