Hi everyone,
I know things have been very quiet in the Bats Day camp lately but that doesn't’t mean that things are not happening at full steam. 2008 is the 10th Bats Day in the Fun Park event and it has been very exciting. What started off as a small group of aprox 90 people has exploded into something huge that people from all over the world come to attend. Last year there were over 4500 people at Disneyland that attended Bats Day.
With that said on to the update.

The dates for this year’s Bats Day in the Fun Park 10 Anniversary
event are:
November 8th & 9th, 2008.

Yes you are reading that right.
The last 3 years Bats Day in the Fun Park has been a little unbearable in the heat. There has been a number of requests of why is Bats Day in the Fun Park held in August and is it possible to get it moved since it has been so hot.
After much talks it has come time to move the date of Bats Day in the Fun Park to a cooler month. I too have thought the heat, the last 2 years, has been really bad. If Bats Day in the Fun Park was to change dates, why not change it on its 10 year anniversary. If you would like the back story on why Bats Day in the Fun Park was held in August please check the FAQs on the Bats Day in the Fun Park web site.
For those of you worried about the park closing early, Disneyland will not be. I have researched this date to make sure that you are still getting the most time out of Disneyland.
Also in 2009 Bats Day will be moving its date again to the springtime. Bats Day in the Fun Park will be held in the springtime annually starting in 2009. The 2009 Bats Day in the Fun Park dates will be announced soon.
--Bats Day Holiday Black Market 2008

This year the Bats Day Black Market will be going Holiday style. If you or someone you know wishes to vend at the Bats Day Holiday Black Market, there are some spots still available. If you wish to vend please go to the Black Market section and download the waiting list form. Once you have filled it out email it back to the address that is listed on the form.
This year's Black Market is located at the official Bats Day in the Fun Park hotel; The DoubleTree Suites of Anaheim, 2085 S. Harbor Blvd. Anaheim, California 92802
The date for this year’s Bats Day Black Market is Saturday November 8th, 2008. The Bats Day Holiday Black Market will last all day and evening.

The Official Bats Day in the Fun Park hotel will be once again the Doubletree
Guest Suites in Anaheim California. The DoubleTree Guest Suites are happy
to see our return once again.
The special rate for 2008 is:
$139.00 + tax a night (double occupancy)
$159.00 + tax a night (triple occupancy)
$179.00 + tax a night (quad occupancy)
This is an incredible rate since the rate will be at least $100 more by the time the event is happening.
Each room is a 2 room suite and will sleep 6 people very comfortably. The bedroom has 2 queen size beds and the living room / office has a couch that pulls open to a full size bed.
These room rates are good for the following days.
Friday November 7th, Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th 2008.
Space is limited. If you need another night a day or 2 before or after
these dates, this rate will should be good as well. Just mention the rate
code.

--The beginning of The Year of Million Screams
This year, being the 10 year anniversary of Bats Day, there are going
to be some very special things plans. When the 2008 Bats Day event ends,
the celebration will continue through the year until the 2009 event in
the Spring. Making this to be truly the Year of A Million Screams.
There are going to be days through out the year (between Nov 2008 and the spring 2009 Bats Day event) where members of the Bats Day Staff will be at Disneyland. If you happen to be at Disneyland while one of these Bats Day staff members are at Disneyland and if you come up to one of them, you could 1 of many special prizes. Full details will be released closer to this year’s Bats Day in the Fun Park Event.
--The Bats Day Pre Event 2008
We are still in the process of putting this year’s Bats Day Pre
Event together and will be announcing info soon. The Bats Day Pre Events
are going back to its roots to make this a more intimate event like it
was in the early years of the pre events. We are still going to pull out
all the stops. This year pre event is only one day and will be Saturday
November 8th 2008. Mark your calendars.
--Bats Day 2007 event photo update
Its that time again for the Bats Day 2007 website photo update. If you
or someone you know took photos and would like to be apart of the 2007
photo update, we want you. Please contact Noah K @ batsday@aol.com
and he will give you instructions on how to be apart of this update.
The photo are scheduled to go live on the website around July 2008, so please get your photos into us soon.

2007 Bats Day in the Fun Park shirts, have gone on sale. Order yours now
and once they come back from the printers we will mail them out to you.

Market. You will want to purchase your shirt early because I am sure this
year’s shirt will sell out. Each shirt is only $15+ s/h. The sizes
the shirt comes in are Large, Xlarge, Woman’s fitted Med & Large,
& Child’s Large. The shirt will also come in 2XL and 3XL. The
2XL/3XL will be a special order and will cost a bit more. 2XL will be
$16+s/h and 3XL will be $17+s/h.
